About me

I do the scraping myself. Where the machine stands.

Hiring me means letting a stranger work on a machine that sits on the books at six figures, and you can only judge the work once it’s done. That’s why this page shows what I measure with and what I don’t offer.

My full name is Kemal Özyildiz. Schaber is German for scraper, so the name is the trade. I rework ways by hand, on surface and cylindrical grinders as well as on milling machines and lathes.

Workshop

Where do I work?

Mostly in your plant, on the installed machine. The saddle comes off, the bed stays in the machine.

The workshop is at Kißlingweg 26 in Mühlacker. Only parts that have to come out of the machine anyway go there, such as a bed or a rotary table. For everything else I come to you, in Germany and abroad.

Measuring equipment

What do I measure with?

Electronic levels on the precision straightedge, and the dial indicator on a magnetic base. Each instrument has its own photo here.

What you keep

I measure before the work and after it. You get the results as a sheet that stays with the machine.

Electronic level. Set across the table on the precision straightedge, two at once on long beds.
Granite straightedge
The reference line over the way. On the Boehringer it sits in front of the bed, with the indicator stand and its arm on top.
Mahr Zentimess dial indicator
On a magnetic base at the side of the bed, 0.01 mm graduation. It is run along the length. The measuring points are marked on the casting beforehand.
Bridge across both ways
Carries the level and the dial indicator across both ways at once, even in the installed machine, without anything having to come out.
